China’s First IP Exchange Established

China's First IP Exchange - Tianjin Binhai International IP Exchange was established on June 11. The Exchange will provide channels for the connection of technologies and capitals of the owners, businesses and investors of IP and technological achievements through a mode of "Buy Patents in Capital Operation" so as to promote the transformation of independent innovations and provide new ideas for technology financing in China. It is expected that the exchange will start operation in September and October. The Exchange has established the first group of strategic partners, and signed strategic cooperation agreements with CITIC and other six banks as well as China Valuer International Co., Ltd.

  The Exchange will collect tradable IP projects and companies in the emerging strategic industries and cultural creative industries, and provide IP financing and transaction service for particular institutions, specific investment groups and individual investors with full civil capacity, divided into Chinese and foreign IP transactions, equity transactions of limited liability companies or un-listed corporations with IP as the main carrier, transactions of IP-related derivatives, information dissemination and settlement services for IP evaluation, auction, pledge, custody, training, certification, authentication, and trading.
