Recently, Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Renault made an apology to the three executives he fired due to wrongly-charged suspicion of involvement in the “Spy Gate” and announced they would resume their posts and reputation.

The three executives previously fired for alleged leak of company secrets have been denying the accusation all the time and filed a defamation counterclaim against Renault. According to survey results released by Renault, there was no conclusive evidence that the three executives committed bribery or breach of confidentiality. The rumors that a Chinese company would buy Renault’s electric bicycle sector also couldn’t be upheld by the survey results, no third-party country involved.

Under such circumstances, Ghosn apologize to the three dismissed executives and sentenced himself to a relinquishment of a year’s bonuses and stock options. He also said they would update the process of the company’s security management.
